一、短文改錯的特點
從上文及最近幾年的高考短文改錯題我們就可以看出:
1.短文改錯題往往是內(nèi)容較淺顯,題材輕松且貼近學(xué)生生活的文章,長度和書面表達相當。
2.短文改錯題的錯誤設(shè)置和我們平時書面表達中出現(xiàn)的錯誤非常相似,大多出現(xiàn)在句子表層,并不難發(fā)現(xiàn)。涉及上下文的,較難的錯誤一般有1-3處,主要是動詞時態(tài)、語態(tài)或行文邏輯方面的錯誤。
3.短文改錯題中的錯誤分為語法錯誤和邏輯錯誤兩種。
語法錯誤包括動詞的語態(tài)、時態(tài)、非謂語形式;可數(shù)名詞的單、復(fù)數(shù)、不可數(shù)名詞 ;形容詞和副詞的用法區(qū)別以及固定結(jié)構(gòu)等。
邏輯錯誤是指單個句子的語法結(jié)構(gòu)是正確的,但所表達意思和上下文不符,因此,只有根據(jù)上下文的行文邏輯去判斷。此類錯誤往往較難發(fā)現(xiàn)。
4.短文改錯設(shè)題共10行。其中正確1行;多詞1-2行;少詞1-2行;錯詞6行左右。 多詞主要出現(xiàn)在冠詞、介詞、連詞、助動詞、語義重復(fù)或行文邏輯等方面。少詞主要出現(xiàn)在冠詞(名詞前)、介詞(不及物動詞后或固定結(jié)構(gòu)中)、助動詞、不定式符號、連詞、語義不完整等方面。錯詞主要出現(xiàn)在冠詞、介詞、連詞、助動詞、名詞的單復(fù)數(shù)、動詞時態(tài)或語態(tài)、非謂語動詞、主謂一致關(guān)系和詞類等方面。
二、短文改錯的要求:準確、規(guī)范
準確,即準確運用英語語言知識,無論語法,還是行文邏輯等方面都要符合英語語言習慣。
規(guī)范,指答題格式規(guī)范(對、錯、刪、增符號規(guī)范)和卷面書寫規(guī)范 (字母大、小寫及雙寫規(guī)范)。
三、短文改錯的步驟:
1.通讀短文,掌握大意。正確理解短文內(nèi)容,準確把握文章大意是識別和糾正錯誤的
前提和條件。因此,在改錯之前要快速地通讀一遍短文,弄懂大意,理清上下文的邏輯關(guān)系。
2.細讀全文,逐行找錯。短文改錯一般“題以行出,錯從句生”。而語言只能以句子
作為意義單位,因此必須逐句分析,不要被試題的故意設(shè)行所干擾。要對照上下文逐句細讀,分析判斷,理清句意,找出上下文的內(nèi)在聯(lián)系,推斷字里行間的含義,檢查句子結(jié)構(gòu)是否完整,語氣是否連貫,結(jié)構(gòu)搭配是否符合英語習慣。
3.字斟句酌,先易后難。根據(jù)所掌握的詞法、句法等語言知識逐句逐行推敲。特別注
意動詞的時態(tài)、語態(tài)、主謂一致;可數(shù)名詞的單復(fù)數(shù)及不可數(shù)名詞、形容詞、副詞、冠詞、代詞和句型結(jié)構(gòu)等。同時注意上下文的邏輯關(guān)系及內(nèi)在含義。
4.復(fù)讀全文,驗證答案。最后核對修改后的答案是否語言規(guī)范、準確,行文是否流暢。
按照增、刪、錯、對的規(guī)律逐一對照。如有二行都難以找出錯誤,與其亂改一行,不如都打?qū),以確保一行正確。
四、短文改錯的原則:
1、每行改動不能超過一處。短文改錯要求每行只能改動一處,可增詞、減詞或換詞,但只能是增加一詞或減少一詞或把一個詞改成另一個詞。當然,沒有錯誤的行無需改動。如General, most students are satisfied with the service.把句中General改成in general 或者改為Generally,從語法結(jié)構(gòu)看都是正確的,但如果改為in general 就必須改動二處,并非正確改法,故只能改為Generally.
2、虛詞添加或刪除。歷年高考英語短文改錯題需要添、刪的地方差不多有3-4處。
這些需要增、刪的詞一般都是虛詞(如冠詞、代詞、關(guān)系詞等);一般不增、刪實詞(如動詞、名詞等),否則會改變句子的原意。例如:
(1)In some places you may borrow as many books as you want; in other places
where you are limited to a certain number, of which some may be novels. 此句刪去where.in other places 后面不應(yīng)該跟where引導(dǎo)的定語從句。如果將其視為定語從句,那么整個句子的結(jié)構(gòu)就錯了。
(2)Firstly, the price of the food is little high for many students .從上文我們知道,這句話是說食堂的食物有點貴,如果用little這個半否定詞,意思就是食堂的食物一點也不貴,和上文的意思相左,因此必須在little前加a.
3、實詞改變詞形。在短文改錯題中,對實詞的處理一般只是改變它的形式,而不能
改變其詞義或改換成另一個實詞,更不能隨便加以添刪。例如:
(1)Would you mind do me a favor? (把do改為doing)
此句考查動詞mind后面應(yīng)該跟動詞的-ing形式作賓語。也許你會把mind刪去,將原句變成:Would you do me a favor? 這樣改,雖然語法上是對的,但是它卻改變了句子的原意。故不是正確的改法。
(2)I’m sure we’ll have a wonderfully time together.(把wonderfully改為wonderful)。原句中的wonderfully是副詞,不能用作定語修飾名詞time。若把wonderfully改為good,雖然語法上正確,但是卻削弱了語氣。
4、句子原意不變。不能改變文章或作者所表達的意思,包括其語氣和上下文的邏輯
關(guān)系。如:
(1)I was so tired that I fell asleep at the moment my head touched the pillow. (刪掉at).去掉at之后,the moment起著連詞的作用,相當于as soon as ,用來引導(dǎo)時間狀語從句。很多學(xué)生在moment后面添上了when,使得后面的句子成了一個定語從句,修飾the moment。這樣改,語法上雖然正確,但強調(diào)的卻是“自己什么時間睡著的”。從上文看,說話者是強調(diào)自己累,而不是強調(diào)睡覺時間。故不能在moment后面添when。
(2)But I know a bull can run more faster than a man. (把more改為much)
5、正確句不改。一般十行中,有一行是正確的,無需改動。
五、短文改錯注意事項
1. 時態(tài)一致。短文中謂語動詞的時態(tài)要與上下文、特定語言環(huán)境及該句的時間狀語保持
一致。例如:I am always young when I was staying with them. (NMET’湖北2004) 全文
都是一般現(xiàn)在時,此句中was 顯然與上下文不一致,應(yīng)改為am。
2.主謂一致。謂語動詞在人稱和數(shù)上要與主語保持一致.如:Now my picture and the prize is hanging in the library. (NMET’2000). 主語為A and B時,謂語動詞一般為復(fù)數(shù),應(yīng)改為are。
3.平行一致。not only?but also, neither?nor?以及and, but, or等并列連詞或詞組連接的結(jié)構(gòu)被稱為平行結(jié)構(gòu)。在此類結(jié)構(gòu)中,詞性時態(tài)等形式須保持前后一致。如: I dream of standing on the platform in the classroom and give lessons to lovely boys and girls. (NMET’湖北2004)從上下文中我們知道,“我”的夢想就是站在講臺上給學(xué)生上課。and把二個動作并列起來。因此,要把give改為giving.4.數(shù)的一致。注意不可數(shù)名詞、可數(shù)名詞的單、復(fù)數(shù)的用法,以及與其修飾語保持一致。
如:Without enough knowledges, you can never teach well. (NMET’湖北2004) knowledge 為不可數(shù)名詞,不能加s. 5.主飾一致。即句中的主要詞(中心詞)應(yīng)與其修飾詞保持一致。例如:
I will work as very hard to make my dream come true. (NMET’湖北2004) hard不能用as修飾,因此刪去as.
6.指代一致。用于指代的各類代詞應(yīng)在數(shù)、格、性 上與上下文保持一致。例如:
(1)What is more, you have to be friends with your pupils and take good care of him. (NMET’湖北2004)前面說的是pupils而后面用了him可見在此應(yīng)該用代詞的復(fù)數(shù),故把him 改為them.7.語態(tài)一致。句中謂語動詞應(yīng)與上下文語態(tài)一致 .如: Books may for four weeks .(NEMT94)其主語是books,此處keep應(yīng)為被動語態(tài),故改為kept。
8.搭配一致。句中的固定搭配應(yīng)保持完整并與上下文一 致。
例 I felt so nervous as I shook like a leaf. (NMET’2000) so?that為固定搭
配。as改為that.
9.邏輯一致。這是一種隱蔽性較強且年年必考的錯誤,檢查時應(yīng)通篇考慮,重點在連詞、代詞、肯定與否定等。例如:
(1) ’湖北2004) but 應(yīng)為
and。 (2) Without enough knowledge, you can never learn well. (NMET’湖北2004)通讀
全文,我們知道沒有足夠的知識是教不好學(xué)生的,而句用了learn ,這顯然和短文表達的內(nèi)容不一致,應(yīng)改為teach.
六、復(fù)習建議
從歷年高考短文改錯題的設(shè)置來看,其錯誤大我就是我們平時書面表達中易出的錯誤,因此,我們可以把短文改錯和書面表達結(jié)合起來訓(xùn)練。訓(xùn)練改錯時,想想我自己會不會出類似的錯誤;每完成一篇書面表達時,用改錯的眼光去審視你的文章。由此,我們在書面表達和短文改錯這二部分都 會取得長足的進步。
七、短文改錯訓(xùn)練 I’d like to say something about the canteen.

增加 (1--2個)
在缺詞處加一個漏字符號(∧),并在其下面寫上該加的詞。 刪除 (最多2個)

1.看不出句子有錯。
2. 看出句子出錯的地方,但無法改正或者改了,答案不正確,“改錯改錯,越改越錯”。
因此了解改錯的題型特點,并在此基礎(chǔ)上加以一定訓(xùn)練,掌握一些解題技巧就非常有必要。

短文改錯的錯誤類型雖然多種多樣,但是歸納起來主要有以下十個方面:
