Theentrance to the pavilion is decorated witha five-color ribbon, reminiscent of thecolorful skirts worn by Tibetan women.Two long, white ribbons wrap around theentire bu.ilding. According to pavilionguides, one ribbon symbolizes the whitehada, a traditional ceremonial scarf. Theother ribbon represents the gleaming whitemountains that stretch across Tibet.
